8 pressure-treated or womanized 2x4s
1 2x6 by 8-foot board
Wood screws
A square
A drill with a hole saw
A drill for screws
Tape measure
Torpedo level
Hammer
Jigsaw
Extra drills (optional)

Cutting the Boards

The first step is to cut the boards to the required lengths. Here are the measurements for each part of the chair:

Front Leg: 20 inches
Back Leg: 20 and three-quarters inches
Seat Back: 23 inches
Seat: 32 inches
Armrests: 26 and a half inches
Front Support: 36 inches
Rear Support: 28 inches

Left Side Assembly

Start with the left side legs and cross member support.
Align the 20-inch piece with no cuts with the 26.5-inch piece (15-degree angle) and the 20-inch piece with two parallel 15-degree angles.
Secure them with screws.

Right Side Assembly

For the right side, remember to flip the 26.5-inch piece so that the board is on the outside of the chair.
Attach it with screws.

Now, when you stand the chair upright, both sides should have the boards on the outside.

Adding Cross Members

Insert the 23-inch cross member to begin building the seat.
Secure it in place.
